ADULT & PEDIATRIC TRACKS
Primary Care Psychology Associates, LLC (PCPA) is currently seeking applicants for Postdoctoral Fellowship positions in our Adult Behavioral Medicine and Pediatric Psychology tracks. Note that these positions are currently remote due to the COVID19 pandemic.
Adult Track: The Adult Behavioral Health division of PCPA consists of providing psychological services out of our outpatient clinics (Downtown Chicago and Lakeview). Post-Doctoral fellows provide individual, couples, and family therapy as well as psychological evaluations to patients referred by medical providers in the community. Common presenting problems include, but are not limited to, depression, anxiety, adjustment to illness, life transitions, ADHD, relationship concerns, managing medication compliance, and managing chronic physical illness.
Pediatric Track: The Pediatric division of PCPA consists of behavioral health services at our outpatient clinics (Downtown Chicago and Lakeview) as well as placement at one of our integrated care partners in the north or northwest suburbs (specific location TBD). PCPA is integrated into several pediatricians office throughout the northern and northwestern suburbs of Chicago. When placed at clinic, the post-doctoral fellow will have the opportunity to provide warm hand-offs, onsite collaboration with pediatricians, and time-limited evidence-based therapy. Psychological assessment will take place in one of PCPA's outpatient clinics. As a post-doc within this division, you will be exposed to a range of difficulties commonly presented in children and adolescents, including depression, anxiety, adjustment to illness, ADHD, sleep difficulties, toileting issues, behavioral issues, and academic problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have outstanding general psychotherapy skills, prior experience providing time-limited psychological services, and will have an interest in advancing the integration between behavioral health and medicine. The ideal candidate will also possess strong leadership skills, be flexible, have a team-oriented approach, and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Strong interest in clinical training and prior experience in health settings is preferred. Candidates MUST have a Ph.D./Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited graduate program, AND have completed their internship program prior to starting position.
SALARY/BENEFITS: Salary is a $45K stipend. Benefits include health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, 401K and an educational stipend. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be provided with their own laptop with full telehealth functionality, office space and administrative assistance. Supervision will be provided on a weekly basis for 1 hour per week by a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Fellows also attend bi-weekly practice-wide business and training meetings. Additional individual and group supervision may be added.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide consultation or short-term (4-12 appointments), empirically-based psychological services to individuals, couples and families at an outpatient and integrated care (Pediatric Track only) settings.
- Long-term therapy opportunities are available based on clinical presentation and postdoctoral fellow interest.
- Conduct psychological assessments, primarily to rule out ADHD and other diagnostic clarification referrals.
- Opportunities to create and run groups.
- If placed at our integrated care settings, provide same-day warm hand-off services to patients and families coming for primary/specialty care visits, including brief assessment, intervention and treatment planning.
- Consult the medical team regarding psychiatric/psychosocial concerns and health behavior change if on-site, and via fax or phone, if at our outpatient clinic locations.
- Opportunities to participate in co-leading the weekly Multicultural Competency Seminar for practicum students and/or interns participating in our APA-accredited psychology internship.
