Primary Care Psychology Associates, LLC (PCPA) is currently seeking applicants for Postdoctoral Fellowship positions in our Adult Behavioral Medicine and Pediatric Psychology tracks. Note that these positions are currently part-remote due to the COVID19 pandemic.
Primary Care Psychology Associates (PCPA) is a private group practice of psychologists and social workers. PCPA offers dynamic outpatient health psychology services to adult and pediatric populations throughout the Chicagoland area. PCPA has strong relationships with local primary care providers, including Internal Medicine and Pediatric Providers, Specialists, and Psychiatrists. Services provided include evidence-based time-limited therapy, long-term therapy services, psychological assessment, and consultations with physicians. PCPA’s mission is to promote behavioral health across the lifespan through easy-access, excellent interdisciplinary team and integrated care. PCPA is committed to providing the highest quality of assessment, consultation, and therapy services. We work in collaboration with the primary care and specialty physicians, as well as community agencies to foster patient wellness and satisfaction in a warm, therapeutic, and respectful manner.
Adult Track: The Adult Behavioral Health division of PCPA consists of behavioral health services at our outpatient clinics (Downtown Chicago). Postdoctoral fellows provide individual, couples, and family therapy as well as psychological evaluations. Common presenting problems include, but are not limited to, depression, anxiety, adjustment to illness, life transitions, ADHD, relationship concerns, managing medication compliance, and managing chronic physical illness. Opportunities for integrated care may be available. When placed at clinic, the postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to provide warm hand-offs, onsite collaboration with medical providers, and time-limited evidence-based therapy.
Pediatric Track: The Pediatric division of PCPA consists of behavioral health services at our outpatient clinic (Downtown Chicago) as well as placement at one of our integrated care partners in the north or northwest suburbs (specific location TBD). PCPA is integrated into several pediatricians' offices throughout the northern and northwestern suburbs of Chicago. When placed at a clinic, the post-doctoral fellow will have the opportunity to provide warm hand-offs, onsite collaboration with pediatricians, and time-limited evidence-based therapy. Psychological assessment will take place in one of PCPA's outpatient clinics. As a post-doc within this division, you will be exposed to a range of difficulties commonly presented in children and adolescents, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, sleep difficulties, toileting issues, behavioral issues, and adjustment difficulties.
All postdoctoral fellows will receive two hours of individual supervision per week. Fellows will have a peer consult group every other week as well as a monthly journal club. Biweekly didactics/case conferences. Post-doctoral fellows also have the opportunity to have a mentor role in PCPA's APA-Accredited Internship Program through co-leading weekly seminars and/or group assessment supervision.
Stipend for the post-doctoral fellowship is $48,000 with a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, PTO, sick days, 401k, and educational stipend.
