Bridget Shane, MA, LPC is a Psychology Intern at Primary Care Psychology Associates. She is currently in the final year of her Doctoral program in Clinical Psychology at Adler University. She completed her Master’s degree in Counseling with a specialization in Forensic Psychology in 2018, also at Adler University.
Bridget has worked with patients across a variety of settings, including private practice, inpatient hospitals, outpatient programs, and VA hospitals. She utilizes evidence-based treatment modalities to find the best fit for each patient, with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy approaches.
Bridget is an empathic, laid-back, transparent, and collaborative therapist who believes in empowering her patients to find the best path toward their goals. Bridget works with patients to increase insight, awareness of thoughts and behavioral patterns, all while keeping in mind the patient’s unique values. Bridget works to make the therapy space one that encourages humor, curiosity, and a sense of safety alongside the healing process.
Areas of Expertise: Anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, personality disorders, psychosis, suicidal ideation, relationship and interpersonal challenges, ADHD and psychological assessment.
