Yufei Wu, M.A. (she/her) is a Behavioral Health Clinician at Primary Care Psychology Associates specializing in working with adults. She is currently completing her doctoral training at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Economics from Mount Holyoke College and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Yufei has clinical experience working with diverse populations in college counseling and community mental health settings. Her main clinical interests and experience are with mood and anxiety disorders, impact of traumatic stress, and relational challenges. She is also passionate about supporting international students and individuals from multicultural backgrounds during periods of adjustment.

Yufei approaches therapy primarily from a psychodynamic and person-centered perspective. She also incorporates techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to augment her interventions. Yufei strives to create a supportive and collaborative space where individuals can feel safe sharing their experiences, exploring, and better understanding themselves. She brings warmth, curiosity, and openness to the therapeutic space, supporting individuals in their healing and growth. She believes each person is the expert of their own life, with unique experiences and strengths. She deeply values each person’s individuality and cultural background, believing that diversity enriches therapeutic relationships and allows us to see life through many meaningful perspectives.
