Oralia Shepard, Psy.D. (she/her) is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Primary Care Psychology Associates, specializing in working with patients of all ages and their families. She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology. She completed her doctoral internship in clinical psychology at the Florida Department of Corrections where she worked in the outpatient and inpatient psychiatric units.
Throughout her clinical training, Dr. Shepard has worked with individuals across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including community health clinics, private practices, children’s centers, schools, drug and alcohol treatment centers, and hospitals.
Dr. Shepard believes in providing individualized care, grounded in evidenced-based practice, in close collaboration with the rest of the medical team. She strives to create a safe and supportive environment that facilitates exploration, healing, growth and cultural sensitivity. Dr. Shepard utilizes a collaborative approach with her patients and their families to identify problem areas, establish goals, and monitor progress throughout treatment. She is passionate about empowering individuals to lead their wellness journey and live a balanced life.
Dr. Shepard is fluent in Spanish.
