Hana Simon, Psy.D. (she/her) is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Primary Care Psychology Associates. She specializes in working with adults, couples, and families. Dr. Simon earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She completed her Doctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology at Primary Care Psychology Associates.

Dr. Simon has extensive training and experience in interdisciplinary clinical settings, including residential treatment facilities, community mental health centers, therapeutic day schools, and private practice. She approaches mental health through a systemic lens and is committed to justice and client advocacy. Her clinical work is grounded in an understanding of the complex systems that shape each individual’s experience.

She provides both assessment and psychotherapy for a wide range of clinical concerns, including anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), substance use, eating disorders, complex trauma, neurodevelopmental disorders, and interpersonal challenges. Dr. Simon works with individuals across the lifespan, as well as with couples and families navigating significant life transitions.

Dr. Simon’s therapeutic approach is relational and humanistic and integrates elements of psychodynamic theory, family systems perspectives, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is committed to deep, collaborative work grounded in mutual empathy, respect, and understanding. Dr. Simon fosters an egalitarian therapeutic relationship that emphasizes trust, authenticity, and shared growth. She highlights and builds upon her patients’ strengths, helping them to further realize their potential.
