Becca Berdar, MA (she/her) is a Behavioral Health Clinician at Primary Care Psychology Associates specializing in working with adults, couples and families. She is currently completing her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Becca holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her clinical experience includes working with individuals across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization programs (PHP), and residential treatment centers.

She has advanced training in evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Radically Open-DBT (RO-DBT). Becca is also trained in the treatment of OCD and trauma using exposure-based and cognitive approaches. She has a particular interest in helping individuals who struggle with overcontrol, such as emotional inhibition, perfectionism, and social isolation, find greater flexibility and connection.

Becca is passionate about integrating cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion into all aspects of her clinical work. She is LGBTQ+ affirming and strives to provide an inclusive, identity-affirming space for individuals across the gender and sexuality spectrum. Her work also includes providing support through individual, group, couples, and family therapy, as well as conducting psychological assessments to aid in diagnostic clarity and treatment planning.

Becca’s therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each individual’s unique experiences and goals. She prioritizes creating a supportive space that fosters insight, self-compassion, and growth. She believes that humor, honesty, and curiosity are vital ingredients in meaningful change, and she works with clients to identify values-driven paths toward healing.
