Alex Partovi, M.A. (he/him) is a doctoral Psychology Intern at Primary Care Psychology Associates specializing in working with adults, couples and families. He is completing the final year of his doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology from The University of Oregon, and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Alex has experience conducting psychological assessments and providing psychotherapy to adults in a private practice and in a hospital setting. He utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, along with Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Systems theory in his work with patients. His primary areas of interest include mood and anxiety disorders, along with health-related concerns and relational challenges.
Alex strives to bring a unique approach to the therapeutic space, working to recognize each person's individual strengths and areas of growth. He believes that each person is the expert of their own experience and that healing and growth is best achieved through collaboration, safety, and support. Alex brings a blend of curiosity, humor, and warmth to the therapy space.
