POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP
ADULT & PEDIATRIC TRACKS
Primary Care Psychology Associates (PCPA) offers Postdoctoral Fellowship positions in our Adult Behavioral Medicine and Pediatric Psychology tracks.
Adult Track: The Adult Behavioral Health division of PCPA consists of behavioral health services at our outpatient clinics (Downtown Chicago). Postdoctoral fellows provide individual, couples, and family therapy as well as psychological evaluations. Common presenting problems include, but are not limited to, depression, anxiety, adjustment to illness, life transitions, ADHD, relationship concerns, managing medication compliance, and managing chronic physical illness. Opportunities for integrated care may be available. As a post-doc within this division, your focus will be on becoming the perfect generalist in clinical psychology, ready to handle any patient presenting problems of any severity, from an integrative, evidence-based therapeutic approach, while collaborating actively with referring medical providers & community partners. Clinical tasks will include triage & referral (when needed), individual, couples and family psychotherapy and psychological assessment. Opportunities to co-lead a group and/or supervise a practicum student may also be available.
Pediatric Track: The Pediatric division of PCPA consists of behavioral health services at our outpatient clinic (Downtown Chicago) as well as placement at one of our integrated care partners in the north or northwest suburbs (specific location TBD). PCPA is integrated into several pediatricians' offices throughout the northern and northwestern suburbs of Chicago. When placed at a clinic, the post-doctoral fellow will have the opportunity to provide warm hand-offs, onsite collaboration with pediatricians, and time-limited evidence-based therapy. Psychological assessment will take place in one of PCPA's outpatient clinics. As a post-doc within this division, you will be exposed to a range of difficulties commonly presented in children and adolescents, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, sleep difficulties, toileting issues, behavioral issues, and adjustment difficulties.
All postdoctoral fellows will receive two hours of individual supervision per week. Fellows participate in our biweekly business meetings and present at our didactics/case conferences. Fellows will also be part of a peer consult group every other week, as well as a monthly journal club.
Stipend for the post-doctoral fellowship is $63,000. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, PTO, sick days, 401k, and educational stipend.
