Pediatric psychotherapist (ph.d./psy.d./lcsw)
Primary Care Psychology Associates, LLC (PCPA) is seeking a highly qualified Pediatric Licensed Clinical Psychologist or Pediatric Licensed Clinical Social Worker to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team at a pediatric primary care clinic. The position will be based in one of our integrated clinics in the West (Hinsdale or Wheaton) or the North (Bannockburn or Gurnee) suburbs of Chicago, depending on candidate preference, with the possibility for adding one day a week in Chicago. Position is currently part-time telehealth with plans for telehealth visits will remain a substantial part of patient care.

Responsibilities Include:
- Serve as the main liaison between Primary Care Psychology Associates and our medical partners at the medical clinic of placement.
- Provide same-day warm hand-off services to patients coming for primary/specialty care visits, including brief assessment, intervention and treatment planning.
- Consult the medical team regarding psychiatric/psychosocial concerns and health behavior change.
- Provide consultation or short-term (4-12 appointments), empirically-based psychological services to children and families referred by the physicians. Provide longer-term psychotherapy to patients who need it.
- Provide psychological testing (most often to rule-out ADHD and learning disorders)
- Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, teletherapy is available for providing therapy
- Professional License in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Social Work
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience providing psychological services to pediatric populations post-licensure.
- Strong interest in advancing the integration between behavioral health and medicine. Experience working in integrated health care/providing time-limited therapy preferred, but not required.
- Strong interest in providing clinical supervision and psychological assessment (psychologists only)
- Strong leadership skills, flexible, team-oriented
- The motivation to excel above and beyond providing treatment-as-usual, and will strive to be the best in their field.
- Strong interest in teamwork and cooperation with other providers.
- Proficiency in evidence-based interventions for a broad range of pediatric clinical presentations.
- Experience providing psychological services in a medical setting, and/or interest in Health Psychology are preferred.
- Interest and experience in providing clinical supervision is preferred for psychologist candidates. The candidate will have a chance to participate in our training program by providing clinical supervision to pre-doctoral and postdoctoral trainees in pediatric psychology. PCPA's pre-doctoral internship is APA accredited.
- $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year depending on productivity
