Maya Howard, Psy.D. (she/her) is a Behavioral Health Clinician at Primary Care Psychology Associates. She completed her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Indianapolis. Dr. Howard also holds a Master’s Degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island. She completed her doctoral internship and her post-doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at Primary Care Psychology Associates. She is currently working towards obtaining an independent license as a Clinical Psychologist.
 
Dr. Howard has experience providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment with individuals across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including community mental health, private practice, and the correctional system. She has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), humanistic, interpersonal and psychodynamic evidence-based interventions.
 
When working with patients, Dr. Howard strives to recognize each patient’s individual concerns, needs, and goals. Dr. Howard maintains a welcoming and empathic stance during therapy, seeking to understand her patients and work with them to improve their overall well-being. Throughout therapy, Dr. Howard ​will collaborate with you in identifying how your strengths and values can be used to relieve presenting concerns and discomfort.
