Ava Landis, M.A. (she/her) is a doctoral Psychology Intern at Primary Care Psychology Associates. She specializes in working with adults, couples, and families. She is currently completing the final year of her doctoral training in clinical psychology at Adler University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Adler University.

Ava has experience in a variety of interdisciplinary clinical settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, private practices, therapeutic day schools, and hospitals. She also has experience administering psychological assessments to individuals across the lifespan. Ava’s clinical interests include women’s health concerns, psychosocial oncology, mood and anxiety-related concerns, interpersonal difficulties, life transitions, and coping with chronic pain and illness.

Ava utilizes acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and strength-based therapy interventions to provide individualized care for each of her patients. Ava aims to create a supportive, collaborative environment that helps to empower patients as they navigate emotional distress, complex life transitions, and health challenges. Ava is committed to providing culturally responsive, compassionate care that honors each patient’s unique background and lived experience.
