Maya Howard, Psy.D. is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Primary Care Psychology Associates.
She completed her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Indianapolis and her doctoral internship in Clinical Psychology at Primary Care Psychology Associates. Dr. Howard also holds a Master’s Degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island.
Dr. Howard has experience providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment with individuals across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including community mental health, private practice, and the correctional system. She has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), humanistic, interpersonal and psychodynamic evidence-based interventions.
When working with patients, Dr. Howard strives to recognize each patient’s individual concerns, needs, and goals. Dr. Howard maintains a welcoming and empathic stance during therapy, seeking to understand her patients and work with them to improve their overall well-being. Throughout therapy, Dr. Howard will collaborate with you in identifying how your strengths and values can be used to relieve presenting concerns and discomfort.
