Director of Assessment
Primary Care Psychology Associates (PCPA) is a group private practice with strong connections to the medical community in the greater Chicago area. We specialize in working collaboratively with referring physician partners to provide assessment and therapy services for a broad range of mental health and medical conditions. Our therapists operate as a team, rather than a collection of independent contractors, frequently consulting and collaborating with one another on projects and initiatives designed to enrich our practice and the field of psychology.
We are seeking to hire a full-time clinical psychologist who specializes in psychological assessment with children and adults to lead our Assessment Division, and serve as a clinical supervisor in our training program, including our APA-Accredited internship.
The position will be hybrid, with at least two clinical days at one of our office locations, and additional days working remotely. An opportunity to start part-time and gradually build towards full-time is available to the right candidate.
We are looking for a candidate that is proficient in evidence-based interventions (CBT, ACT, Interpersonal and Psychodynamic) for a broad range of clinical conditions. We are also looking for a candidate who has experience and/or a strong interest in providing clinical supervision to the clinicians in training at our practice. Our training program includes a masters-level practicum for students pursuing their doctoral degrees, a doctoral internship in clinical psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association, and a postdoctoral fellowship.
To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a doctoral degree (PhD / PsyD) in psychology, and be licensed or currently license eligible to practice independently in Illinois. Therapists of all ages, levels of experience, and backgrounds are encouraged to apply!
Qualifications:
Professional License in Clinical Psychology (post-doctoral fellows welcome to apply, as well)
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a licensed clinician providing psychological assessment services to adult AND pediatric populations
Experience with and interest in both therapy and psychological assessment
Strong interest in providing clinical supervision to interns in our APA-Accredited internship program
Strong leadership skills, flexible, team-oriented

Proficiency in evidence-based interventions for a broad range of adult and/or pediatric clinical presentations
Responsibilities Include:
Perform assessment triage calls and assist with scheduling, as needed
Maintain a caseload of both therapy and testing patients
Provide clinical supervision in our training program
Consult with referring providers regarding psychiatric/psychosocial concerns and health behavior change
Manage the inventory of psychological assessments
Facilitate the Assessment Seminar, which includes our predoctoral interns
Support the continued growth and development of the assessment program
