Change is a part of life, but sometimes a major shift overwhelms our ability to cope and function our best. Stressful experiences such as divorce, illness, and job loss may impact us profoundly. Even positive changes like moving to a new city or becoming a parent create significant stress. Transitions in life stage, such as from adolescence to young adulthood or from late-career to retirement can also be difficult to navigate.
