Adam Lurie, MA is a Psychology Intern at Primary Care Psychology Associates. He holds a Bachelor of Art's degree in Psychology from the George Washington University in Washington, DC as well as a Master's Degree in Professional Psychology from William James College in Newton, MA. He is currently completing his final year in a Doctor of Clinical Psychology program at William James College. Adam has worked with adults and adolescents in outpatient and school settings. He has training in individual and family therapies as well as psychological and neuropsychological assessment.
Adam conducts therapy in a patient centered and empathetic manner. In session, Adam will work with you to help build insight to the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be contributing to your distress, while helping you reorient to your values and what is important to you. He has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and humanistic interventions. Depending on the case and patient preference, he may assign activities to complete outside of session to practice skills learned in therapy. Therapy proceeds at your pace and Adam's style is empathetic and patient with a sense of humor.
